SUMMARY OF AIIG CSR
Activa Ghana’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy spells out our commitment and responsibility toward our environment and the jurisdiction in which we operate.
This stems from the fact that our company’s existence is part of a bigger system of people, values, other organizations and nature. Thus, it is just right to give back to the society just as it gives to us. This for the Activa Ghana team forms an important part of our operations as we, by our nature, are passionate about the clients and the community we serve.
Our priority in giving back to society has been to focus on Health care and Women empowerment in respect of financial inclusion. In this regard, a number of donations and projects have been undertaken to realize these objectives. Notable amongst them are:
- Donation of Phototherapy machines to the Neonatal Intensive Unit of the KorleBu Teaching Hospital (2017).
- Donation of Food Items to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital (2019)
- Donation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to the Cardiothoracic Center of the KorleBu Teaching Hospital (2020).
- In terms of women empowerment, a total of 20 women were trained on the Activ’ Lady program (a program targeted at providing complete solutions to impact the lives of women irrespective of their socioeconomic backgrounds; and also to help grow the businesses of women entrepreneurs. These women have been empowered to become financially independent.
